Who can attend LMAA classes?
Anyone of 10 years of age and over and of all levels of ability. Beginners are welcome.
Can I come to watch a class before I join?
We welcome prospective new students to come along to observe a lesson in progress and meet the instructor to help you decide if the LMAA is right for you.
What should I wear to the classes?
We recommend that when training members should wear lose comfortable clothing, such as a t-shirt and jogging trousers or kickboxing trousers. As you advance you may choose to wear a traditional suit.
Is there a membership fee to join LMAA?
There is a small membership fee which covers your licence, grading record and Member & Public Liability Insurance.
How much do the classes cost?
Each lesson is £6.00 per person. We also offer discounted rates for families where 3 or more family members attend.
Do I need any special equipment or clothing?
For your own health & safety it is imperative that you use the correct equipment when training, where possible the LMAA will provide this during classes however you may wish to purchase your own as you progress. For hygiene reasons, we do recommend that members purchase their own boxing gloves. All clothing and equipment can be supplied via the LMAA for your convenience.
